The Abortion Pill

Abstinence-only pregnancy is the only situation in which the abortion pill is appropriate. The abortion pill is only beneficial to women who are conceiving an intrauterine pregnancy. Abortion pills should not be used to end an extra-uterine pregnancy (also known as ectopic pregnancy). It's also necessary that you didn't decide to abort the child until 70 days into the pregnancy, or 8 weeks gestation period, had passed.

It's a big decision to make if you decide to have a medical abortion because of your unexpected pregnancy. Whatever decision you make, you will have to live with the consequences, so make sure you are both physically and emotionally prepared for it.

ABORTION PILLS MECHANISM

The abortion pill package contains one 200mg Mifepristone tablet and four 200mg Misoprostol pills.

Mifeprex, also known as Mifepristone, is a medication that inhibits the production of progesterone. The chemical composition of the substance interferes with the function of the Progesterone hormone, which is the primary hormone responsible for assisting the body in carrying the pregnancy safely. Progesterone causes the uterine wall to thicken, creating an ideal environment for the foetus to establish a connection with the mother's body during pregnancy. It is possible that if the hormone's function is inhibited, the foetus will not be able to attach itself to the uterus; however, if the pregnancy is advanced and the foetus has already attached itself to the womb, it will become detached after the pregnant woman consumes the Mifeprex.

The second medication in an abortion pill (Misoprostol) begins dialating the cervix, effectively terminating the pregnancy. The Abortion pill's chemical composition causes abdominal pain and causes the uterine walls to contract, resulting in an abortion. Mifeprex is used to separate the unwanted foetus from the uterus, and Misoprostol is used to aid the uterus in expelling the unwanted tissues, effectively ending the abortion procedure. The abortion pill works in a variety of ways, from preventing the body from carrying the pregnancy to expelling the unwanted foetus.

ABORTION PILL PRECAUTIONS

The woman seeking abortion should be aware of the precautions she should take both before and after the procedure.

·       If the woman's pill abortion does not produce satisfactory results, she will be required to undergo a surgical abortion.

·       Following a successful abortion (whether surgical or self-managed), women should abstain from becoming pregnant for at least the next 3-4 months. Allow your body to heal from the prior issue.

·       Avoid fornication for two weeks after the pregnancy is terminated.

ABORTION PILL LONG TERM SIDE EFFECTS

If you use the abortion pill improperly or excessively without consulting your physician, you will be held accountable for your actions as a result of your ignorance. Inappropriate abortion pill use can result in secondary infertility, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, prematurity, low birth weight, increased risk of breast cancer, premature death, and mental health disorders.

While using an abortion pill properly after consulting with a physician will never result in future infertility, if a woman misuses an abortion pill, future infertility may occur as a long-term side effect of the procedure.
